Knowing how difficult it is to get an honest unbiased review (believe me, I've been trying!) I've decided to put myself out there and offer to read and review new indie authors in the following genres:

science fiction
speculative history
steam punk

Please provide a free digital copy of your book, and I will be happy to give you my unbiased review. In the meantime, I'll keep reading.....:)

More of the same...

Even though I live just west of one of the busiest airports in North America, the skies looked normal to me until just recently. More than once, I have noticed trailings from aircraft crisscrossing each other and that were not in the direction of that same airport. Coincidentally, we would have storms and sometimes thunder and lightning shortly after these 'trailings' appeared. I would really, really like to know what is going on. Some say we are being poisoned by 'nanobots' which makes mind control that much easier. Others claim we are being poisoned with nanoparticles which hasten diseases such as Alzheimers, etc. So what is it! We'll probably never know the truth--just like we'll never know the truth about 9/11. This is why I hate government. Government is all about keeping the populace ignorant and stupid so that they can carry out their own agenda of control and manipulation. Are nanobots their answer? Let's hope not. These photos are from the same day.

Chemtrails--conspiracy theory or not?

GTA October 12, 2015 Chemtrails?
Lately, I've noticed a change in the skies where I live, and it's not pretty. Parallel lines of white fluff intersecting in the sky makes me wonder just what our governments are up to now. I mean, most of are now aware of so many of the mind/body altering experiments the government has inflicted upon us that were labelled as 'conspiracy theories' when they were first brought forth. Conspiracy theories that just happened to be true. Is this one of those?
Remember MK Ultra, the  CIA experiment that used various drugs such as LSD and other mind-altering techniques  to determine whether they could be used as truth serums or maybe coax Russians to defect? Or perhaps you recall the 'Tuskegee Study of Untreated Syphilis in the Negro Male', where for 40 years, the U.S. Public Health Service allowed hundreds of poor black men from rural Alabama to suffer from untreated syphilis, simply to observe whether the disease affects blacks differently than whites--without telling them what they had or that it could be treated! Both of these were labeled conspiracy theories, and both turned out to be true.
Now we know the government already poisons our vaccines with mercury and thimersol, our water with fluoride and our soil with glyphosates--so why not our air too!
Forget pollution from jet exhaust--that's nothing compared to what's up there that we don't know about--that eventually makes its way into our lungs and bloodstreams.  Our air is being poisoned with everything from barium (as toxic as arsenic) to desiccated blood--and why? (See the study here. )
Obviously, they don't want us to be too healthy--in mind or body. Between mind altering drugs that trigger (please excuse the pun) young people to go on killing rampages and mind numbing television that glorifies violence, indiscriminate sex and whatever one can get away with--they've got it under control. That, my friends, is ironic. Because, you see, the more chaos in our society--they more control they have. The more chaos we have, the less interest we pay to those that manipulate our strings.
Coincidentally, this is the premise for the book I wrote, 'A Gift From the Gods'. No, there are no mention of chemtrails, but there is a lot about those that manipulate how humanity lives.

Strange Coincidence?

To be honest, I've never felt quite human. I've always felt 'different' and as a child I used to imagine that I was from another planet. After all, I was much taller than my parents, and I never quite fit in anywhere--even with my own family. Maybe I was an abandoned alien orphan and my 'family' adopted me. Maybe my real father was an alien. These were just a few of the stories I had fabricated in my mind to explain my dissociative feelings towards society and people in general.

Now here comes the fun part. A few days ago on a whim, I decided to look up UFO sightings in my hometown 9 months before I was born. Of course, there are UFO sightings all over the world, but not too many in my hometown. Except for one day 9 months almost to the day before my birthday. Coincidence? I don't know... Could I be the product of an alien experiment? Maybe, but I'm pretty sure I'll never know for certain. So much of what we are told is disinformation, and there is so much of the universe we do not know, I'll just have to live with the fact that maybe...

This Can't be Coincidence...

When I first started writing this book, I really didn't research it at all, I just wrote it.  I felt like it was something I had to do, but I wasn't sure why. This is made even more interesting because I was never a fan of science fiction--yet that is most definitely one of the genres of my book, although it does fit in other genres such as action/adventure as well.

So why me? Why would I feel so compelled to do such a thing? I can't say for sure, as I am still researching the subject, but I can tell you this. Many of the things I wrote about as being fictional may have a basis in reality--according to some anyway.

I'll begin with the names of my characters. The protagonist and heroine of the story's name is Alison. I gave her this name BEFORE I knew the etymology of her name.  According to the internet, Alison has French/Germanic origins and means 'of noble birth.' Interesting to say the least. You'll understand why if you happen to read the book.

Next, I made my characters 'hybrids' that were exceptionally tall light skinned and benevolent. THEN I learned about Nordic aliens. Nordic aliens...kind of look like me according to their description, but since my feet are firmly planted in reality, I'll chalk that up to coincidence. Some of the aliens in my belong to a group called the Association which is composed of various factions that are responsible for different things. One of these groups is known as the 'Watchers.' Now, many believers of aliens visiting our planet consider them to be 'watchers' as well--which I did not know until I read about it on the internet AFTER I decided the name.

In my book, power is distributed freely through conduits, and Stonehenge was a 'distribution point' in the past. Now, that may not be true, but it IS TRUE that Nikolai Tesla created the means to distribute the power generated by the earth FREELY--and then he was killed. I didn't know much about Tesla until I started researching the ideas that I wanted to write about. It shocked me to find that what I thought was fiction had so much basis in fact.

Different races of aliens are also featured in my book and one race's goal is to keep humanity enslaved for their own pleasure. I have since learned that many people who believe in aliens think this to be fact and use organizations such as the Illuminati as examples of secret societies of aliens that corrupt our planet and keep its people enslaved to a system they created. One of the most famous proponents of this theory was WM Cooper (Same last name as mine--another bizarre coincidence.) Oh, the irony of it all...

Most probably think that I either knew this stuff subconsciously already, or I am lying and knew it all before I started writing--but that wouldn't be true.  I've always been a fan of action/adventure but never bothered with Star Wars or Star Trek (except the original) because I thought they were too--'unrealistic.' It was only after my father passed in 1991 and I had a dream of him that felt like reality that I began to open my mind to the possibilities, but I never acted on it. I had too many other things to do such as go to work, raise children, cook, pay bills, and repeat when necessary. I was in the 'robot' stage, and didn't come out of it until my new husband who just happens to be a philosopher guided me gently out of the matrix...  Perhaps this book can help others do the same. Maybe that's it's purpose, and mine as well. I don't know. All I know is, I had to write it.

The Infamous "Blurb', and Why I LOVE the Internet!!

Oh yes, I do, I really, really, do love the internet. Like almost anything the internet can be used for good--or it can be used for evil.  I have chosen to use it to help me create a better book by garnering the opinion of others, and I'm so glad I did! On Facebook for instance, people have been more than willing to evaluate and critique my work so that I can improve it. I can't tell you how much I appreciate their efforts.
For example, my first book cover was of the Orion constellation over Stonehenge. I thought it was quite pretty, and even though Stonehenge is featured in my novel, it isn't the focus of my novel, so I was told potential readers would become confused. Most thought it was about Druids, or even gods, since Gods are in the title of my book--but neither is true. At least not gods in the sense of how humans think of gods.
So I changed things up a bit.

To this..............

As for the blurb on the back, I was told I need to be a little more specific with the details, so here it is. Let me know what you think of it.

Alison Gregory had lost both her parents in the disaster of 9/11, and had spent years trying to get over their loss. She had finally found some peace on a beautiful piece of land in West Virginia --but it wasn't to last. One beautiful summer day she  discovers a cryptic message cut into her cornfield, which leads her on a journey to England, where she is confronted with the painful memories of her past.
In England, Alison comes to realize her parents were the real targets in the disaster of September 11, 2001, and she could be next. With the help of a childhood friend, she finds out her parents weren't just her parents--they were part of a very exclusive group that had for centuries been working to protect the planet from sinister alien forces. In their final stages, this group known as the Association had the resources to eliminate the alien forces that has kept humanity subservient for centuries--but then disaster struck. The Association was virtually eliminated in the catastrophe that was  9/11.  If Alison possessed the same abilities as her father, she could still save humanity--but could she before it was too late?

Prologue - A Gift From the Gods

New York City, September 11, 2001

It was years in the making, and today was a culmination of their efforts. Today, they would set the stage for the Agenda--and the world would change forever.

It was approximately 6 AM in the city that never sleeps, and Beth was stuck in traffic and getting impatient. People were everywhere. The streets were bustling with girls in short skirts sipping their lattes, children laughing on their way to school, men in suits, and an odd assortment of characters unique to the city. She wasn't too surprised to see the streets crowded this early--she just wanted them to get out of her way. “Can't you go any faster?” she asked her cab driver, knowing the answer before she asked it. Her cabbie recognized people like her immediately--they were everywhere in New York City. Rushing around. Always late. Always stressed.
With dreadlocks partially obscuring his face, he turned his head to face hers. “Nah, miss, dis cah ain't goin' nuh weh',” he said as he faced forward again and pointed ahead at the mass of vehicles in front of him.

Damn, why today? Traffic in this city is such a nightmare... The towers were clearly visible, they were so close--just a few blocks away. All she had to do was get there. A seemingly impossible feat of engineering, they were an architectural behemoth that overshadowed everything in the city. The prima donnas of skyscrapers, the twin towers of the World Trade Center may have been the biggest, but they lacked the esthetic qualities of many other skyscrapers in the city--notably the Empire State Building. But that wasn't a fault of the towers themselves. It was their generation. Gone were the elegant Art Deco stylings of the '20's and '30's; the towers were a prime example of the structural expressionism popular in the '70's. They were high tech. They were functional. They were huge--they were not beautiful.

Deciding on an alternate route, Beth pulled a twenty dollar bill out of her purse and handed it through the partition to her driver. “Here, keep the change. I'm going to get out here and walk the rest of the way.” Without waiting for a reply, she stepped out onto street with the faint echo of her driver's gratitude wafting in her ears. This wasn't the first time she had gotten out of a cab before reaching her destination. Patience--like her fashion sense--wasn't one of her strongest characteristics. Luckily, her flats and her long stride made it easy for her to navigate the busy sidewalks.

Beth was forty years old, almost six feet tall, willowy, and rarely wore heels unless she felt it absolutely necessary. According to her, that was almost never. Heels weren't conducive to her way of thinking. In her way of thinking, they were a form of slavery, much like ties were nooses around the necks of the slaves that wore them. Almost everyone was a slave. They just didn't know it yet. Beth wanted to change all that. As the sun's golden rays began peeking through the New York skyline, she smiled to herself. This was going to be a great day. A day that will go down in history. She couldn't wait for it that happen.

It took less than ten minutes for her to reach Fulton Street and the entrance to the North tower of the World Trade Center. Without wasting a moment, she entered the lobby and couldn't help but to appreciate the visual contrast between the bright and colorful banners on display in the lobby, and the grey and sombre monochromatic exterior of the building. It made the lobby, in all its simplicity, seem much more appealing.

Heading straight towards the security desk, she tried to get the attention of the older, slightly paunchy security guard who was talking on the phone. “Excuse me, do you have a key for me? My name is Candace Morgan, and I leased an office on the 103rd floor for today. The agent told me I could pick up the key here.”

Putting his hand over the receiver, he said in a not- too-friendly voice, “Just a minute ma'am, I'll be right with you.”

Impatiently, Beth tapped her finger on the counter as she waited for him to finish his conversation. Repeating herself, he answered, “Let me check. Just a minute.” After searching his computer database, he unlocked a drawer and pulled out a key while his printer trilled out an invoice. “I need to see your ID.”

She pulled out the fake ID she had in her wallet and handed it to him. “Here you go.”
Satisfied, he reached for the paper coming off the printer and handed it and her ID back to her saying, “Sign this please.” After signing it, he handed her the keys. “It's office 9907. Take the elevators behind you. It's just down the hall and to the left.” As he filed the invoice in a drawer, he said, “Bring the key back before 6 pm or you will be charged for another day.” Turning his back to her, he reached for the phone again and dialed another number. I guess he's not a morning person. C'est la vie.
Taking the keys, she headed to the bank of express elevators behind her. There weren't many people waiting at this hour, and it took no time at all for the elevator to arrive. God I hate these things. Beth was somewhat claustrophobic, and elevators were not her favorite mode of transportation. Living in New York City however, forced her to face her fears. She wasn't about to walk up 99 flights of stairs. She would endure the distressing confinement of the express elevator for least 10 minutes; then when she reached the sky lobby, she would be able to take the stairs to get to her floor.

Beth chose the tower to hold the meeting because she was familiar with it. Moreover, holding a meeting in the clouds gave her more of a sense of security than using an office building within sniper distance. In preparation for the meeting, a catering company was scheduled to deliver their breakfast in half an hour, and a security firm was meeting her in an hour to sweep the offices for any recording devices--she wasn't about to take any unnecessary chances.

She had leased this space under the name of a shell company she had created which led to another shell company that could never be traced back to her. She'd made sure of that. She'd left her business cell at home, but did carry an untraceable burner phone. Typically, she and her husband Ben carried burners to communicate with each other--which were regularly replaced. She had no computer with her either. She didn't need one. Nothing that transpired at this meeting would be recorded, and nothing could be traced. Everyone coming to the meeting carried fake ID's and would be arriving in disguises. Hers was a long black wig and brown contact lenses which obscured her shoulder length auburn hair and emerald eyes.

Beth was a Watcher and part of a world-wide alliance known as the Association. In addition to Watchers, the Association's members also consisted of Implementers and Planners. Together, they focused on changing the world, and that was the primary focus of this meeting. They were now on the last stages of the Agenda. Almost all members of the Association were scheduled to attend, and Beth would be expecting them at 8 am sharp.

After the hired help had come and gone, she surveyed the room. The room itself was huge--it had once been a call center and had held multiple cubicles, which were now long gone. In their place stood two giant conference tables that could seat twenty-five people each, with fifty soft black leather chairs gathered around them. A dais stood in front of the tables, with two more black chairs to the left. Fresh fruit, croissants, muffins, juice, hot coffee and tea were laid out on an elegantly set table with a centerpiece of red roses--waiting to be consumed by her eagerly anticipated guests. She was satisfied. Ready or not...
Her heart was thumping wildly in her chest as the time grew nearer for their arrival. How would they react? So much had led to this meeting and now it was time to organize and present their progress reports. She and Ben were confident the Association would be able to implement the Agenda within the next year. They both hoped the other members of the Association would come to the same conclusions they had, but nothing was written in stone. It had to be a consensus before any final plans were made.

As her guests began arriving, their identities were confirmed by a portable retinal scanner she had brought with her before she greeted them and directed them towards the morning repast set out against the back wall. Looking intermittently at the gold watch on her wrist that Ben had given her on her 35th birthday, she was getting worried. He had gone to an early morning meeting at the university and hadn't contacted her since. Trying his burner cell, he answered at the first ring.
“Where are you?” she whispered into her phone.

“Sorry honey, I just got out of there. They kept me for some ridiculous security orientation, and I was told I couldn't return to work without completing it. I'm going to get there as fast as I possibly can. Try to appease the masses until I get there. Maybe tell a few jokes.”

Beth had to laugh. It was an inside joke. They both knew she had a sense of humor only few could appreciate. “Ok, Ben, I'll try to hold them off. Talk to you soon. I love you.”

“Love you too, sweetheart.” Hanging up, Beth couldn't help but to feel a little less anxious. Ben seemed to have that affect on her. He was an integral part of the Association and its Agenda, and this meeting would never have taken place without his efforts. All that was left to do now was finalized the planning stages and implementation. Ben's contribution to the Agenda was, for the most part, complete, so she knew it wasn't imperative that they both attend. Still, Beth wanted his support at the meeting--if only to calm her nerves.

Having had their fill of breakfast, her guests were already seated and continuing to make small talk as they waited for the meeting to begin. Ignoring a distant thunder in the background, Beth stepped up to the dais a few minutes late to announce Ben would be arriving soon, and perhaps lighten the mood with some of her 'jokes' until he arrived. But before she could utter a word, a male voice interrupted her. “Holy crap, why is that plane so close?!” They all turned to look out the windows to see what he was talking about. In front of them, a passenger jet was less than half a mile away and appeared to be headed directly towards them; its wingspan already stretching the expanse of the floor-to-ceiling windows.

Oh no!!... Without hesitation, Beth yelled, “Everyone move!! Head for the stairs. We've got to leave--now!!” Simultaneously, they got up and headed for the doors--but to no avail. A deafening roar hit as glass shattered and hurled towards them like Japanese throwing stars. Blood splattered everywhere as the Association fell--the now flaming passenger jet upon them. It was too late. Her last thoughts were of Ben and her daughter before the flames engulfed her, and her world disappeared forever.

What If 9/11 Wasn't About Terrorists At All?

Image result for world trade centre attack

We've all heard the conspiracy theories concerning the motives behind the attack on the World Trade Center in New York City on September 11, 2001. They range from an inside job by the government, done in order to instigate a war with the Middle East, to the deliberate destruction of the towers by the owner done in order to make a massive insurance claim. Both of these theories deserve consideration, as they are just examples of scenarios which have taken place in the past. I mean, we all know the government lies, and insurance fraud is nothing new. But what if it's neither of those theories. What if the destruction of the towers was a red herring that killed not two birds, but three with one stone? Allow me to explain.

For the first bird, for those that have never studied the art of war, wars are fought for two reasons only--POWER and WEALTH. They are NEVER fought for freedom and democracy. That's a smoke screen used to manipulate the masses by those in control. They don't care about your freedom or democracy. All they care about is manipulating the masses to the point where they will willingly do their bidding--no matter how heinous their bidding may be.  Now, those in power not only want to control us, they also want to control the G.O.D. of the Middle East (gold, oil and drugs). In order to do so, they ply us with propaganda justifying their warmongering, because they can't just order soldiers to risk their lives on a battle field to fill their wallets--people would be marching in the streets. So they have to create a 'legitimate' reason for war. 'Legitimate' my ass...  The Tonkin Incident which helped instigate the Vietnam War is one of the most famous false flags, and others can be viewed here.

For the second bird, let's examine the possible motive of the lease holder of the World Trad Center, Larry Silverstein.  Now. he is a successful businessman in his own right, which may be why he was able to make such a considerable profit on the blood of the victims of 9/11. Good business man have to be ruthless after all--or so the propaganda tells us. When the owners of the World Trade Centre--The Port Authority--put the buildings up for lease in 2000, Silverstein won those contracts for a mere 3.2 billion. A little more than a year later, those buildings were destroyed in one of the worst disasters on American soil. In 2007, when his insurance claim was settled, he walked away with 4.5 billion and change. Not bad...  He made a massive profit and goes down in history as a 'victim' of terrorism.

For the third bird--what if neither of those scenarios is the real reason for the 9/11 disaster. What if the destruction of the towers was a false flag event used to kill a group of powerful individuals in the Word Trade Center itself? What if these people had plans to change the world that would destroy the current oligarchy and put the power back in the hands of the people, and because of this, they needed to be destroyed?  This is the premise of my novel 'A Gift From the Gods', and the prologue can be viewed here.  Chapter summaries and excerpts will follow.

Crop Circles--Planks and a Rope, or Something Else Entirely

Julia Set below Stonehenge

I've always found crop circles to be fascinating.  If they were created by man, why would they bother to create such intricate patterns, and how did they do it without anyone noticing?

Before I knew anything about crop circles, I had already written the outline for my novel. It is set for the most part in England, and this is where the majority of crop circles can be found. Coincidence? I don't know...  The main character's name is Alison, which also, coincidentally, means 'Son of All', 'Of Holy Fame' or 'Of the Noble One'.  I didn't know that either until after I had chosen the name, and then for some reason I decided to look up the meaning.  When I found out, it gave me goosebumps. If you read the novel, you'll find out why.

In my novel, crop circles instigate the plot line, and during my research into the phenomena, I discovered some interesting facts about them. In crop circles created by human pranksters, the stalks are broken and crushed by people stomping on them with boards attached to a rope handle. They use a stake with a piece of rope attached to measure 'circles' and ellipses and sometimes use surveying tools to create other design elements. The circles are also created at night to avoid detection. Julia Set, the crop circle at the right is believed to be a genuine crop circle. It was created in broad daylight across the highway from Stonehenge with people--including security guards--around 24/7. Witnesses claim they saw a 'mist' above the field during the time it was said to be made. Furthermore, a pilot had flown over the field that day and saw nothing, but when he returned 45 minutes later, he saw this circle formation. As a pragmatist, I always consider both sides of an argument, however, considering the elaborate designs of many crop circles and the fact that experiments using humans to recreate these elaborate designs have all resulted in mistakes being made over long periods of time (days), it leads me to believe something else might be responsible. But what?

In what the experts deem to be 'authentic' crop circles, the plants are bent at the nodes and are not destroyed.  They believe this to be caused by a type of microwave radiation. Radiation has also been detected in many circles, which supports this theory. Circles have also been created in canola fields (although I have never heard of one in my native Alberta--which is FILLED with canola fields) and this is significant because canola is much like celery. If canola is bent at more than a 45 degree angle, it breaks. In crop circles--even ones created in canola fields--the stalks are bent at a 90 degree angle. No scientist, or botanist has been able to explain how this happens in the canola fields, and no human crop circle maker has been able to duplicate it. Quite often, the stalks in crop circles are also laid  out in geometric patterns on the ground, which is something difficult to do in short periods of time. Balls of light have also been seen before the discovery of many crop circles--so what are they, and where do they come from? Some claim they might be robot drones--earthly or extraterrestrial--but until we know the facts, we'll never know for sure.

So why doesn't the media jump all over this stuff? As I mentioned in my earlier post--the media outlets are controlled, and some information they do not want the public to realize. Luckily for them, humans tend to fall into the 'herd mentality' and the persistent attempts at debunking crop circles by the media has successfully influenced the herd to believe that crop circles are fake. Psychology has shown that if you repeat something often enough, many people will believe it to be true, even though  it has been proven to be false. That statement, however, brings up another topic--religion--but that can wait for another post....:) Happy Solar Eclipse Day!

They Live! - It's not just a movie anymore

They Live! is one of my favorite movies. It's campy, has some great lines, and one of the best fight scenes ever! (It's about 8 minutes long, and features Rowdy Roddy Piper, a WWF wrestler from the '80's) Besides that, the movie is a window that allows us see ourselves and society from a different viewpoint.

You see, it's not just a low budget Hollywood sci-fi flick--it's much more than that. Anyone who has studied Edward Bernays and "public relations" and has also seen the movie probably knows what I am getting at. But for those that haven't, here's the breakdown for you:

Edward Bernays was the nephew of Sigmund Freud, and the father of public relations. He developed strategies using the information on psychoanalysis provided to him by Freud and other such as Wilfred Trotter, to manipulate the "herd" into thinking and acting certain ways.  Do you really think you have free will? Not really--and let me tell you why. Everything you do, everything you say, and everything you think is a product of something else.  For example, does anyone really think women want to wear high heels when they are the most uncomfortable form of footwear in the modern world? No, but society had dictated that women look sexier in high heeled shoes, so women--trained to please men in a patriarchal society--wear them anyway. I could go on and on about this, but you should be getting the idea by now.

'They Live!' illustrates the facts I just mentioned. Society uses propaganda through advertising, television, the educational system, religion, and media outlets to manipulate our brains to think a certain way.  In the movie, a drifter discovers sunglasses which shows the world in its true colors. Certain individuals disguised as 'people' are actually aliens, and TV and advertising is all subliminal messages telling humans to submit, obey, and act in certain ways. This is done so that aliens can control, manipulate and use humanity to their own ends, and maintain order at the same time so that humanity doesn't start a revolution against them.  See the pattern? Does it feel familiar? It should. Everything you do, from brushing your teeth (coconut oil works better) to ordering fast food (which isn't food at all) has been dictated to you by the society you live in. And the society you live in is ruled over by individuals that need and desire to maintain control over you.

Is this how you really want to live???

Watch how Edward Bernays created the means to manipulate the minds of the  masses in the video "Century of the Self"

Watch the movie here.

Why...? Why would I do it? I don't really know except to say writing this book was something I felt I had to do. It was almost like I didn't have a choice. Let me explain.

A long time ago when I was a child, I always felt like I didn't belong here. And by 'here' I mean this planet. I could never connect the way others do, so to make up for that, I immersed myself in books. I could relate to books. I could also relate to nature, and felt more empathy for animals than humans. Humans frightened me. Although I was never abused by my parents, the world to me was a very hostile place. A war zone--even in the nicest neighborhoods. I couldn't--and still can't--understand how people can be so cruel to each other, to the planet and its creatures. I could almost feel their pain. The only person in my family I connected with was my father. He seemed to understand me, and because of him I managed to grow up relatively 'normal.' (Is there such a thing?)

It's not that I am crazy, or mentally disturbed--I'm very far from it. I'm just different. Yes, every human is unique, but I am unique in ways most humans are not. What do I mean by that? It's hard to explain...  All I can tell you is that I see and feel things others don't. For example, I lived in a haunted house once, and never felt afraid. It made me sad actually. I felt bad for the little boy trapped there, even though he would wake me up at 2:30 every night.  For a while, I was angry because I need my sleep, until I understood he was trying to tell me something. I didn't figure it out at first, so for a while things would just happen. I would be cooking dinner, and  I would see flashes of him in my peripheral vision, and then I would hear balls bouncing in my basement. At Christmas time, I think he felt bad because one day when I came home, the stockings were thrown across the room. So I started having conversations with him before I went to bed, and I told him that he didn't live there anymore. He needed to move on. At first, he didn't listen, but after a week or so of talking to him, he didn't wake me up anymore. I knew he had found his way, and that was very satisfying for me.

I also know the power of the universe, because I have connected with it in ways that even I can't explain. Ways that I have never spoken of, and probably never will. Some things...are beyond words.

Physically speaking, I am in a category that I share with perhaps less than 1% of the population. I exceed average height, I am left handed, I have almond shaped green eyes, B- blood and genetically, I was born with 4 less teeth than the general population. (Yes, I wore braces..:). These characteristics on their own may not seem all that unusual, but together, they are extremely rare. What's even more interesting is that both of my parents are under 5'3", and I am a female over 5"8". Both of my parents were also Rh+. I am also highly intelligent--but so was my father.  Now, of course I could be the product of an adulterous relationship, or perhaps even adopted--except for the fact I have some physical characteristics unique to both of my parents.  Why am I so different?   This is why I wrote this book. I've always searched for answers, and I have always been drawn to the universe and the possibilities it contains. Maybe the universe holds the key.....and all we have to do is step inside and listen.

Introduction - A Gift From the Gods

Who are we, and where did we come from? These are the burning questions that have plagued mankind since the dawn of humanity. For eons, we have looked to the stars for answers, and from the stars, religions were born. Religion provided answers--no matter how illogical--to questions mere mortals could not answer, and the people lapped it up like dogs. Today, with the advent of science,  many fundamentalists have quietly forgone biblical literalism and tell us that the illogical bits of their texts are mere stories meant to teach them. They are not to be taken literally. Maybe they're wrong. Maybe there is some basis of truth to those stories we haven't yet discovered. In a time where we know the universe is composed of billions of planets, A Gift From the Gods provides logical answers to what most believe to be supernatural, and brings the supernatural to life.

A Gift From the Gods encompasses the human condition alongside the unknown forces of the universe to bring together a tale of family, intrigue, aliens and scientific discovery.  What you think you know--might not be what you know at all.  Was 9/11 a terrorist plot, or was it something else entirely? Are we alone in the universe? What's real, and what's not? A Gift from the Gods theorizes on the answers to these questions and more.

Join me on a journey of discovery. Stay tuned for regularly scheduled excerpts.  I'm sure you'll enjoy the ride....:)
